Susan C. Gatton Selected for TCU Advisory Board

Fort Worth - Veteran executive development consultant Susan C. Gatton has been selected to serve on the advisory board of the Charles Tandy American Enterprise Center, a part the Neely Business School at Texas Christian University.

The Charles Tandy American Enterprise Center is a comprehensive executive resource organization that creates, disseminates and uses information to help people and businesses improve performance.

Bill Bigler, executive director of the center, says Gatton's selection is one in a series of moves the center has made to become a nationally recognized brand in executive education, training and development.

"Susan brings credibility, depth of knowledge, and a wealth of experience to our advisory board. That background is important as we continue to evolve and expand to fulfill our mission of helping individuals and organizations perform at the highest levels," says Bigler.

Through S. C. Gatton & Associates, Inc. a company she founded in 1985, Gatton has built a reputation for excellence by coaching senior executives from a who's-who of national and international corporations, non-profits and municipalities. Her client list includes such top names as CitiCapital, Cisco Systems, Hallmark Cards, Verizon, Marriott International and many others.

Her experience with industry and corporate executives has also caught the attention of the media. She was recently featured on "Our American Workplace," KFNX 1100 AM out of Phoenix, Arizona. Gatton has also been the subject of articles in major metropolitan newspapers across the United States, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, New York, and Dallas.

Prior to 1985, Susan was formerly the Southwest area manager for the Forum Corporation, an international leader in training and consulting and the manager of training and development for The Fort Worth National Bank. Currently she is a member of the National Speakers Association and Organization Development Network. She is a past board member of the International Association of Facilitators and past president of the North Texas Speakers Association.

A native of Chicago, Gatton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois, and a Master of Arts degree from Texas Christian University. She is also a certified diagnostician.

The Charles Tandy American Enterprise Center was established in 1985 with a grant from the Charles Tandy Foundation. The original mission of the center was to develop knowledge on how to repel the "Japanese invasion" of quality, price and cycle time. Today, the center offers non-degreed executive training, education and development to key companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Bell Helicopter, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, Cook's Children's Hospital, and others.
